What my cousin wrote

This is what my cousin wrote to his parents regarding the war, think about it.. it change my views on it.. he's in the navy by the way

Thanks mom and dad, I was almost sick when I was watching T.V. while eating my 15 minutes worth of food tonight. I can't believe these people are protesting this war!!! Apparently 9/11 didn't leave a lasting impression in there minds? If we weren't to take care of this "problem" now when would "it" take care of us. All of you liberals thinking that "Sadam might be telling the truth about getting rid of his weapons" should go live in France!!!! We saw a few of his illegal missiles go off the other night and they sure do light up the sky nicely. I know being out on the ship is a little different than our counterparts that are in the dessert but we still get the sandstorms. Imagine working on the flight deck in the middle of the night with 40 knots of wind blasting in your face. Put a blue lens in your flashlight because a white light isn't good for the pilots night vision goggles. Take off your jacket because there isn't enough room in the area you have to work in. Remove your gloves because you need to feel your work. Now all of this said you will need to kneel on your knee on the rough flight deck. Sound like fun? Well it's what four other guys and I do almost guaranteed 8 out of 10 days and nights for 14 hours a day. No weekends off. On Sunday we get an extra hour of sleep though!!! Now all you people protesting this war go right ahead it's your right, your freedom. But so help me god I see one of you anti-Americans when I get home I will probably crash your little party and give you a reality check!!!! Enjoy your freedom!!!!!!

My views on the war:
War has been going on for as long as anyone can remember, it's never been good. This war isn't good, but war happens regardless. This war isn't strictly economical. It's not all about oil and revenge. It's about protecting the world from a threat.
Think about it:
Would you want to be living under Saddam Hussein? Do you remember when HE invaded kuwait to take it over for its oil? How about sepetember eleventh? Do you remember that day, I know it wasn't Saddam who did that, but what would stop him from doing that? He is a ruthless individual.

I don't know if you've ever studied history, but world war two, i'm sure you've heard of. There was this guy named Hitler who killed thousands of people to get himself ahead. Saddam already tried to do that once, back in 1991, but he wasn't removed from power. Regardless of how it was done, Saddam needed to be removed from his position.

Do you think america is bad? Go live somewhere else. You don't like our politics? MOVE, NO ONE IS KEEPING YOU HERE. Leave, try some country like iraq, see how long you last there, see how their lives are. Or move to canada if you still want to live in an american kind of society. But don't crictisize this war. It was going to happen sometime. Saddam is/was a threat to the world. How would you like to die due to a biological weapon? Think about it, you're going to sleep, then blam.. your flesh is melting off of your bones. What would stop him from using those weapons against anyone to get what he wants? Nothing

You say: what if he doesn't have those weapons?
I say: It doesn't matter, remember what he did in 1991?
You say: This is just a revenge factor, bush is just doing this to get back at Saddam for his dad.
I say: Bush isn't a great guy, but no one is that stupid. This is about protecting the world.
You say: This is all about oil, nothing more!
I say: Do you remember the gulf war? That was about oil
You say: Fuck you, you're wrong.
I say: That's the great thing about america, you're entitled to that opinion, and you can voice it. I guess america isn't that bad, is it? Go over to iraq and see how fast you die if you said that to someone of importance.

If you dont support the war, support the troops at least
